Upgrade Entertainment is not a company that offers “packages” or “standard setups, playlists, etc.” We work to customize each event to the needs of our client and co-create the experience with them.

Through this process, our customers are not only more informed about our services and connected with our DJs, but also empowered and active on a scale and scope as never before.

The goal of Upgrade Entertainment’s approach to event planning is to break the mold of selling a service and create mutual value based on human experiences. In addition to cost and productivity benefits, this co-creative approach also reduces risks for our clients and ourselves because we learn about how we can improve and what is important to the client.

One client’s story:

Amanda is from Los Angeles and was flying home to Toledo to get married in the Museum of Art. As this was her second wedding, and she had already had a wedding with the typical father daughter dance, cake cutting, etc. she wanted something totally different. Amanda wanted her wedding to have the feel of an upscale club during the wedding reception. She wanted a DJ who could mix music professionally as she put it “like DJ_AM,” one of her and her husband’s favorite artists. She looked exhaustively for DJs but could not find one that suited her needs because most seemed to be “typical wedding DJs” who do not have the skills to blend music together, beat match, scratch, etc. She was planning to fly a suitable DJ out from New York when she found Upgrade. We worked with Amanda to provide a customized LED lights package and sound package that worked based on the dynamics of the museum. We also met twice with her, traveled out to Toledo to view the needs, created a customized playlist based on our suggestions and her feedback, and created an order of events and “do not play” list to ensure the night went as she wanted it.
